Camp Spot

Upstate on Bald Mountain

Adirondack Park, NY

"The warm temps and clear sky inspired an impromptu night hike for star gazing, 'hippy camping', and to see the peak fall colors in the Adirondacks come morning.

As many times as I've been up there, waking up with the sunrise to see a thick blanket of clouds over Fourth Lake was magical and one of the prettiest mornings of my life.

A reminder of the achingly beautiful earth we live on and that I am a tiny part of a something much, much greater than I am."

The Big Rocks

A little bit of research went a long way in helping secure this campspot at a rock climbers paradise in the Alabama Hills.

Camp Deception

It’s a slight bummer when the reverse gear of your 1975 VW Bus craps out while parked near a steep drop-off, but at least you can still camp out in it while waiting for the overall situation to improve.

Lodgepole

Dark sky views at Lodgepole Campground is one of the reasons why it’s such a popular campspot in Sequoia National Park.
