"As with most camping experiences I have, asking locals is the key. This spot requires a long drive on unpaved road passing through only one tiny village called Holberg. It is then a 45 minute hike through a gnarly jungle like trail before it opens up to the beach where the camp is to the left of the river mouth.

For two days we didn't see another soul, not even a jet plane high up in the sky cruising by....nothing. It's one of the most untouched places we have ever experienced.

There is much to explore along the coast line and down the river itself. A hidden cabin and a fresh water source can be found on the other side of the river mouth, which can be crossed knee deep at low tide or a full swim at high tide. The beach is sandy and littered with driftwood so campfires are effortless and awesome.

A sea mist rolled in mid morning both days which was eerie at first but amazingly it seemed to only surround the camp area but not cover it. So we stayed in a pocket of blue sky, with the mist clearing by late afternoon for a stunning sunset.

Simply concluded: A rugged, untouched cast away experience of soul soothing relaxation and exploration."
